Men’s Anti-UV Surfing Leggings - 100 Slate Blue

Our team of designers has developed anti-UV leggings particularly suited tosurfing in warm water, for sessions of less than 1 hour.#### UV protection even when wet.The fabric of this OLAIAN anti-UV product blocks at least 98% of UVB radiationand 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection from the sun.It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports. Thedensity of the textile fibres filters out UV rays, for long-lastingprotection, even after washing. Caution: the elastane contained in the fibremay deteriorate in chlorinated water.#### What does UPF 50+ mean?UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and isstandardised worldwide. It defines the protection level of a fabric and moreprecisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through. To meet the standards, itmust block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks atleast 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.#### Reduced chafingThese leggings help reduce rubbing against the board, especially around theknees when lying down on the board and inside the thighs when sitting on theboard. We have tested and ensured that irritation is significantly reducedduring one-hour sessions.#### Support and stability wavesThe body-shaping waistband helps the leggings stay in place even when you falloff the board in the waves. The cord located at the front of the waistband isdesigned to be attached to a UV protection T-shirt and prevent it from ridingup. We recommend wearing a 500 UV protection T-shirt (available in shortsleeve and long sleeve versions and with a hood) in addition to these leggingsin order to be well protected.#### Warmth and windThe minimum water temperature recommended for the use of these anti-UVleggings is 22°C. Air temperature may increase or decrease thisrecommendation. Our thermal models (over 2 hours) are made of fleece andneoprene. The presence of wind can have an impact which can be uncomfortableas soon as the wind exceeds 15 km/h: In this case, choose a model withneoprene.#### Multi-watersports UV protection leggingsOur anti-UV leggings are designed to meet the needs of the most demandingsurfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sportssuch as swimming, kite surfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, seawading or SUP (stand up paddle boarding).#### Behaviour when in the sunAlthough these leggings protect you from the sun, phenomena such asreflections (from water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc. must be takeninto account.
