This anti-UV t-shirt has been developed to protect your child from the sunwhen surfing and bodyboarding. Water over 22°C.#### How to choose your UV protection T-shirt (Part 1)All of our UV-resistant T-shirts are UPF50+, i.e. they have the maximum levelof sun protection.The choice between them will therefore be made based on thelength of the sleeves and will depend on what it will be used for. Theconstraints are greatest for surfing so we decided to build our rangeprimarily for surfing.For surfing, the choice will be made according to theduration of your sessions: 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours.#### How to choose your UV protection T-shirt (Part 2: According to theduration of the session)1 hour: Occasional practice. You can choose between a loose fit (priority toease of dressing and comfort when dry) or a fitted cut (priority to comfortwhen wet). A loop system to connect it to the shorts ensures the stability ofthe product.2 hours: Regular practice. Comfort when wet is enhanced by theseamless panels under the arms and the drawstring which further increasesstability.3 hours: Intensive practice. Additional warmth to help you stay inthe water for longer.#### UV protection even when wet.The fabric of this UV-resistant product blocks at least 98% of UVB radiationand 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection from the sun.It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports. Thedensity of the textile fibres filters out UV rays, for long-lastingprotection, even after washing.#### What does UPF 50+ mean?UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and isstandardised worldwide. It defines the protection level of a fabric and moreprecisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through. To meet the standards, itmust block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks atleast 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.#### Reduced chafingThis UV protection T-shirt reduces friction with the surfboard or bodyboard.The loose fit of the T-shirt makes it easier to put on and is more comfortablewhen dry. Choose the fitted cut of the 100 or 500 top if you prefer comfortwhen wet or wear it under a wetsuit. Limitation of irritation has been provenfor sessions of 1 hour. If you plan to surf for more than 1 h, the 500 UV topwill be a more suitable choice thanks to the seamless panels under the arms.#### Support systemThis UV protection water T-shirt has a loop at the front to attach the cord ofyour swim shorts to stop the top from riding up while you surf. This solutionis recommended for sessions up to 1 h. For more than one hour, we recommendthat you choose the UV top 500, which also has a drawstring at the hips forbetter stability. Unwanted riding up of the top could cause irritation to thelower abdomen.#### Warmth and windThe minimum water temperature recommended for the use of this UV-protectiont-shirt is 22°C. Air temperature may increase or decrease thisrecommendation.Our thermal models (over 2 h) are made of either fleece,neoprene or both. The presence of wind can have an impact which can beuncomfortable as soon as the wind exceeds 15 km/h: In this case, choose amodel with neoprene.#### Multi water sports UV protection T-shirtOur UV tops are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Ourdesign choices also make them compatible with other water sports such asswimming, kite surfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, sea wading orSUP (stand up paddle boarding).#### Protect the little ones!Young skin is very sensitive to the sun as kids' defence systems areestablished after the age of 3. With identical exposure, the effects of thesun are 2 to 3 times stronger on a kid than on an adult. It is thereforeimportant to protect them effectively.#### Behaviour when in the sunAlthough this T-shirt provides protection from the sun, phenomena such asreflections (from the water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc., must betaken into account. Wearing this T-shirt does not exempt the wearer fromadopting suitable behaviour: wear sunglasses, wear a hat or cap, regularlyapply an appropriate sun cream, drink regularly, etc.######## What is the OLAIAN brand?TRIBORD surfing products have now become OLAIAN products, the new Decathlonbrand dedicated to surfing, bodyboarding and skimboarding.
