As female surfers of all levels, we have designed this UV-resistant t-shirtfor beginner surfers surfing in the foam.#### YOU ARE A BEGINNER SURFERYou are learning to surf or surf only a few times a year, during your holidaysor a surf trip. You stay where you can touch the bottom, in tiny waves orbroken waves. You surf for the pleasure of being in the water and for thefeeling you get from it. During your sessions, you often fall but you fall inwaves that are not very powerful. We have designed a wide range of productsfor you, to suit your occasional activity and your body shape.#### How to choose your UV protection T-shirt (Part 1)All of our UV-resistant T-shirts are UPF50+, i.e. they have the maximum levelof sun protection.The choice between them will therefore be made based on thelength of the sleeves and will depend on what it will be used for. Theconstraints are greatest for surfing so we decided to build our rangeprimarily for surfing.For surfing, the choice will be made according to theduration of your sessions: 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours.#### How to choose your UV protection T-shirt (Part 2: According to theduration of the session)1 hour: Occasional practice. You can choose between a loose fit (priority toease of dressing and comfort when dry) or a fitted cut (priority to comfortwhen wet). A loop system to connect it to the shorts ensures the stability ofthe product.2 hours: Regular practice. Comfort when wet is enhanced by theseamless panels under the arms and the drawstring which further increasesstability.3 hours: Intensive practice. Additional warmth to help you stay inthe water for longer.#### UV protection even when wet.The fabric of this OLAIAN anti-UV product blocks at least 98% of UVB radiationand 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection from the sun.It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports. Thedensity of the textile fibres filters out UV rays, for long-lastingprotection, even after washing. Caution: the elastane contained in the fibremay deteriorate in chlorinated water.#### What does UPF 50+ mean?UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and isstandardised worldwide. It defines the protection level of a fabric and moreprecisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through. To meet the standards, itmust block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks atleast 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.#### Reduced chafingThis UV-resistant T-shirt helps limit rubbing and chafing due to contact withthe surfboard or bodyboard. It can also be used under a wetsuit to limitchafing, particularly around the neck and armpits. Reduced chafing frompaddling movements has been proven for sessions of one hour. If you plan tosurf for more than one hour, the UV top 500 will be a more suitable choicewith its seamless panels under the arms.#### Support system and support in the waves.This UV protection top has a loop at the front to attach the cord of your swimshorts to stop the top from riding up while you surf. This solution isrecommended for sessions up to 1 h. For more than one hour, we recommend thatyou choose the UV top 500, which also has a drawstring at the hips for betterstability. Unwanted riding up of the top could cause irritation to the lowerabdomen.#### Multi water sports UV protection T-shirtOur UV tops are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Ourdesign choices also make them compatible with other water sports such asswimming, kite surfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, sea wading orSUP (stand up paddle boarding).#### Behaviour when in the sunAlthough this T-shirt provides protection from the sun, phenomena such asreflections (from the water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc., must betaken into account. Wearing this T-shirt does not exempt the wearer fromadopting suitable behaviour: wear sunglasses, wear a hat or cap, regularlyapply an appropriate sun cream, drink regularly, etc.#### OLAIAN, DECATHLON'S SURF BRANDBased in Hendaye, in southwest France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surfing andbodyboarding brand.
